Through an innovative series of treatments during production, the webbing is resistant to water, oil and grease, making cleaning and maintenance as easy as possible. This crucial link is often compromised by operators who routinely work in difficult areas and lanyards are forced into contact with a variety of surfaces and edges which may have a detrimental effect. In order to combat this Yale lanyards possess a "soft edge" webbing. When the lanyard is tensioned the webbing maintains a soft edge margin which is less prone to being cut by a sharp object.
